Four Layers of PCBA Quality Control
From design-stage prevention to outgoing inspection and corrective action: how quality checks follow the product lifecycle.

Quality begins before production
JIEJIA describes a layered quality approach spanning design, incoming materials, manufacturing and follow-up improvement. Early engineering review is intended to identify issues before they become repeated production defects.
Review the design and test access
Design quality assurance includes manufacturability checks, cross-functional reviews and component evaluation. Pad geometry, component spacing, thermal features and accessible test points all affect the ability to build and inspect an assembly. Test planning belongs in this stage rather than being left until the board is complete.
Connect checks across the lifecycle
Incoming inspection and production controls build on the engineering review. Outgoing checks and corrective-action feedback complete the process. The value of a layered approach is that findings can be traced back to the relevant material, process or design decision and used to improve subsequent builds.
